Loon in the Moonlight
Delights of wonder and beauty happen in Northern Michigan all the time. Moments so sublime, so entirely serendipitous, they seem as if mother nature must have arranged the whole show just for you. Like witnessing a fawn and her mother fording the Cedar River in a veil of early morning fog, a blue bird flying low amongst a field of ox eye daisies as the setting sun casts it's warm evening glow, or this loon transfixed in a band of moonlight on Intermediate Lake while the last gleam of twilight lingers, these are moments of pure magic. The secret however, is that moments like this are happening all the time, if only you choose to look.
